John 15 Rap

Weekly Verses

Remain joined to me, just as I also remain joined to you. No branch can bear fruit by itself. It must remain joined to the vine. In the same way, you can’t bear fruit unless you remain joined to me.
John 15:4

Activities

Fruit Hunt

Go on a fruit hunt in your house, looking for pictures of fruit, real fruit, or fruit toys. Talk about the trees or plants that fruit comes from. For instance, if you find an apple talk about how the apple comes from an apple tree. Then, talk about how if we are joined to the vine of Jesus, we should bear fruit that looks like Jesus.

Fruit Stamping

Use a piece of fruit to create a work of art! For instance, cut a lemon in half and use the knife to carve out a stamp like the picture shown below. Then, have your child use it just like a stamp with paint. Another fruit that may work well is an apple cut in half. Feel free to try any fruit you may have around the house. Talk about the fruit that we can have in our lives because of Jesus.

Fruit Designing

Draw an outline of fruit with a permanent marker. Then, have your child fill in the center of the fruit with any materials you may have around the house. Use watercolor paint, tissue paper, dot markers, or anything else you can think of to design your fruit. Think through the different names of the fruit of the Spirit and talk about how to show that fruit to one another in your family.
