Repent | Watch Party Activities | Arrow Kids
Updated: Dec 20, 2020
Here are a few simple activities to help your
kiddos learn from the service as you join up to watch it from home.
This week, our message will be talking about John the Baptist and the message he was given to tell others--Repent!
Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.
Arrows of Triumph (2nd-5th Grade)
For the oldest children, we have an "Repent Thoughts" page. Throughout the service, kids can think about the words "repent" and "sin" and what they mean. They will also be challenged to study Matthew 3:2 and learn from it what it means for Jesus to come and die for our sins so that we can have the Holy Spirit inside us to help us repent and turn to God.

Arrows of Victory (Preschool-1st Grade)
For the younger learners, we have an "I'm Listening Up-Sin" page. Throughout the service kids can think of things that God want us to do and things that God does not want us to do. Then, they will think of what sin means. Because of Jesus, we are free from the power of sin and we can go God's way by the Spirit's power!

Arrow Kids (1-10yo)
For everyone, this video can be used to explain who John the Baptist was and what the special message was that God gave him to tell.
Then, play this game together to better understand what it means to repent. Print this sign to hang on the wall or work together to make this sign. Also, make a sign to stick onto one person's shirt that says, "Holy Spirit." Have the person wearing the "Holy Spirit" sign stand where the road sign is hanging. Have one child start walking in the direction of sin. Have the person wearing the "Holy Spirit" sign say, "Repent! Turn to God!" Then, have the child stop, turn around, and then run as fast as they can toward God. You can talk together about how, if we trust Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we have the Holy Spirit living inside of us. The Holy Spirit is the one who helps us to turn away from sin and turn to God. When the Holy Spirit tells us to repent, we need to turn right away and run as fast as we can back to God!
